Freebie Quick Page and a Chance to SCORE a GC to Haynay's Shop

This past weekend was Haynay's 1st Birthday over at ScrapMatters. To celebrate- I created this freebie quick page out of one of my most favorite kits by Heather. This one was actually a collaboration between Haynay Designs & Plum Dumpling Designs and it's called Thoroughly Amused. I just LOVE the bright colors and all of the FUN elements in this one! It is packed full! You definitely want this one in your stash-it's available over at ScrapMatters.

Click HERE (or on IMAGE for DOWNLOAD):
And here's my original layout:

Now here's how you can score a Gift Certificate ($5.50) to Haynay's Shop. Just leave me a message in the comment field (be sure to leave an email where I can find you) and I will select one person at random on Friday August 28th, 2009. Tell me your favorite amusement park ride too...or your favorite treat to eat. Looking forward to hearing from you!

My husband took me to the Six Flags (Arlington, TX) he grew up at...and made me try the Funnel Cake. It was pretty good. The treat we got on the way out of the park was even better: The Pink Thing. Really, that's the name. It's a pink ice cream bar. I couldn't tell the flavor, so when I asked, I was told "It's pink." It was Yum.

My favorite....I dont like them, but I love my children's reactions. I have photos from carnival rides, to the kiddie amussement parks to even some of the bigger parks, especially the rides at Disney!! I loved their reaction, especially when my youngest (she's five) rode her first rollar coaster at Disney (Barnstormers) On the way down the hill, she puts her hands up and screams "I believe I can fly" I will never forget it as I have it in pictures and in my memory. She LOVED her first roller coaster! That's what I like about amusement parks--the kids and the memories they give

Roasted corn!! I could eat that alllll day long! As for rides, I'm with Wendy! Those rides at the smaller fairs scare me..that comes from a ferris wheel falling apart with my sister stuck at the top. But at theme parks..say Disneyland...my fave is the Haunted Mansion...can't wait to see which ghost will hitchhike home with me!

CUTE quickpage; thanks!

My favorite amusement park is Disneyland (gotta be, even if I haven't been there in 10+ years!). I have a soft place in my heart for Splash Mountain and the Matterhorn. My brothers and I were there for five days, and after about two, we had done everything we wanted to (this was before the days of CA Adventure) -- so we went on EVERYthing that was listed as an "attraction" at Disneyland! We hit it all: the Enchanted Tiki Room, the train, all the little-kid rides, meeting Mickey at his house (I could tell he thought it was amusing that three teens waited in an hour-long line), and even the Abraham Lincoln animatronic attraction (which I found rather interesting, but I'm a history nerd).

As for food -- my mom would never buy us much at the fairs and parks ("just breathe deep; it's too expensive to buy it to eat, but smelling it's free!"). I did get a deep-fried Twinkie at a fair once (I'd heard they were delicious) and it was SO GOOD. Drizzled in syrup, sprinkled with powdered sugar, eaten with a fork. YUM!

You can PM me at ScrapMatters if I win (crossing my fingers!! My username's Bethanny).

OMG -- this kit is just so perfect!!!
A couple of weekends ago was my birthday, and there was a festival/carnival in town --- and I have pictures to scrap! Of course the family had our fill of rides and cotton candy and corn dogs ... and great memories. And then later on, they even had fireworks! It was definitely a great birthday memory for me!!! Thank you for the great sampler and the chance to win! Have a great day!

I love to ride "Fire In The Hole" at Silver Dollar City. It's a very simple ride, no big thrills, but I enjoy the story behind it and it never ceases to entertain me! Thanks for the chance to win a gift certificate. I'd love to have the amusement park kit to scrap all my SDC pictures with! My e-mail is starwarsfans98 at gmail dot com.

I get my annual cotton candy each year at the fair and always look forward to that! My daughter is asking everyday now when the fair starts since she is 4 and can remember getting to go last year!

I loved the Octopus and Scrambler rides as a kid. Now they have things like Extreme Scream and inverted bungee jumping...NO THANKS! The fairgrounds gives free tickets to the local school districts and I always looked forward to the day when my class would get to walk over and go to the fair! =)

Awesome kit! Love that QP!

I love going to theme parks, the bigger and faster rides, the better! Any Six Flags park is a winner in my book, and I love all the Disney parks I've been too.

But my absolute favorite ride is the Tatsu rollercoaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in CA. It's themed like a dragon, and the seats tilt forward so it's like you're flying over the park! Freaky, terrifying, exciting, and awesome all at once!

Thanks for the chance! I'm corsicar over at ScrapMatters.

I would say that I have 2 old favorites and one new favorite. lol "It's a Small World" and the "haunted mansion" at Disney are my childhood favorites...but we went to Disneyworld in May (for our 25th wedding anniversary)and I really liked the Rockin' Rollercoaster by Aerosmith!

Thanks for the fantastic QP! Our state fair opens in just a few weeks, and this would be a great kit for scrapping my pics! As far as carnival/fair food, I almost always get a roasted ear of corn and a fresh squeezed lemondade. Frozen cheesecake on a stick is pretty good too, and when I'm at the rodeo in Houston, I like to get shrimp on a stick. Hubby prefers the Indian tacos. As far as rides, we're too cheap to go on them LOL...although now that my DD is getting older, I'm sure we'll start going on a few.
